Hemmett Family Chiropractic & Rehab is located in the beautiful, new, eco-friendly medical office building, Eastern View.
After taking a break to have two beautiful daughters and a son, Dr. Vicki has returned to practice with an intimate, fresh perspective on women's health and specifically perinatal care.
Dr. Vicki will specialize in whole woman care. A pregnancy changes a woman's body in numerous ways. From the initial mental excitement and anticipation, to the glowing growth phase of mid-pregnancy, to the final phase of full-term, a woman's body needs help to adapt to these dramatic changes.
Dr. Vicki utilizes several gentle, effective treatments to help relieve many physical manifestations associated with these changes during this wonderful transition. Low back pain, sciatica, numbness and tingling in the hands and feet and headaches are a few pregnancy-related symptoms that can be safely and effectively relieved.
Dr. Vicki is certified in the Webster Breech Turning technique which has a very high success rate for turning uncomplicated cases through gentle manipulation.
Postnatal care is very important to help the new mother regain her previous body and abdominal stability and adapt to the new demands of motherhood. New mothers need to enjoy their beautiful babies with a healthy, nourished body. Often, simple ergonomic instruction about breastfeeding and sleeping positioning can help resolve headaches, upper back and neck symptoms.
Drs. Erik and Vicki strive to educate you on how to take an active role in your journey towards achieving optimal health and wellness. Home stretches, active strengthening exercises and ergonomic instruction are incorporated into your program in an effort to empower you to help yourself.
Drs. Erik and Vicki work closely with other physicians and health care providers so that you get the most comprehensive approach to your care.
Dr. Erik continues to enjoy treating every patient within the practice - ranging from our littlest pediatric patient through our most mature, active grandparents!
Dr. Erik specializes in treating low back pain, neck pain, headaches, numbness and tingling in the fingers and toes, knee pain and any other injury in the joints of the body. If it moves, he works on it!
Dr. Erik is full body Active Release Techniques (ART) certified with additional biomechanics and nerve entrapment certifications and enjoys helping athletes recover from injuries and regain their competitive advantage.
